Henry Summerow was marriage bondsman. The 1850 Census, Walker Co, GA, Reel 85, p. 361 lists Abernathy family: M. J., b. 1812, M, M. Gospel-O.(?) S. Bap. $300 in r.e., b. NC [birth dates approx.] Malinda, b. 1829 (sic), F, b. NC Catherine, b. 1845, F, b. NC Elizabeth, b. 1846, F, b. GA Mary, b. 1849, F, b. GA Assume that this M. J. Abernathy is same as James D. and Martha Victoria's father "Miles Abernathy", who was married to "Malinda Lutes" (as per Bell Family History). See note of #012 re marriage date. A Miles J. Abernathy performed numerous marriages in Gordon Co., GA 19 April 1864 to 11 Oct. 1868. "Miles J. Abernathy" is not listed in the Mormon's IGI index. Family isn't in 1860 GA census index. See #244.
